Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Communications

The University of Oklahoma Foundation

The Opportunity Overview

The University of Oklahoma Foundation seeks a strategic and visionary Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Communications to lead the development and execution of an integrated marketing and communications program that advances the philanthropic mission of one of the nation's premier public research universities. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Vice President for Advancement & Campaigns and serving on the Foundation's extended leadership team, this senior leader will direct two dynamic verticals—Strategic Communications & Brand Management, and Digital Marketing & Engagement—while serving as the Foundation's chief brand strategist and thought partner to executive leadership. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, offering the opportunity to shape compelling narratives, drive meaningful donor engagement and elevate the Foundation's brand in support of ambitious campaign goals.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished marketing and communications leader who brings a combination of strategic acumen, creative excellence and digital fluency. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in developing brand strategies and multi-channel campaigns for complex organizations—ideally within higher education or advancement—and have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results. With exceptional storytelling abilities, deep expertise in digital marketing platforms and analytics and sophisticated knowledge of CRM systems and marketing technology, the successful candidate will be equally comfortable crafting mission-driven narratives and interpreting data to drive decision-making
