The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development for Seaver College is a frontline fundraising leader responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy that supports the College’s mission of purpose, service and leadership. This role manages a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects with the capacity to contribute $100K to $1M+, cultivating and stewarding relationships that directly fuel Seaver’s academic priorities, faculty initiatives and student opportunities. Working closely with the Dean, advancement colleagues and advisory boards, the Assistant Vice Chancellor plays a pivotal role in securing transformative resources, strengthening donor pipelines and ensuring Seaver College continues to thrive as Pepperdine’s liberal arts cornerstone.

The ideal candidate is an experienced major gift officer with a proven record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts and fluency in planned giving strategies. They must have exceptional communication, relationship-building and strategic planning skills. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will collaborate across faculty and advancement teams and inspire confidence among alumni and advisory boards while driving measurable fundraising success. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressively responsible fundraising experience are required; a master’s degree and prior experience fundraising within a higher education institution is preferred.
