The Opportunity Overview
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an accomplished and strategic Executive Director of Development to serve as a senior fundraising leader within University Advancement. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, the Executive Director will provide oversight, mentorship and performance management for Directors of Development across assigned colleges, schools and units, while personally managing an intimate portfolio of major and principal gift donors. Equally effective as a frontline fundraiser and a talent builder, they are accountable, data-informed and energized by the opportunity to elevate both individual and team performance.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of cultivating and closing major and principal gifts, as well as leading and developing high-performing fundraising teams. They bring a coaching mindset, a command of prospect management strategy and the ability to work collaboratively with Deans, University leadership and advancement colleagues to align donor priorities with institutional goals.
