The Opportunity Overview
The University of San Diego is seeking a relationship-driven and mission-aligned Director of Development for the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development with a dotted line to the Kroc School Dean, the successful candidate will lead a comprehensive major gift fundraising program for one of the most distinctive and globally recognized schools at USD. The Director will cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation donors with an emphasis on gifts of $25,000 or greater — partnering closely with faculty, department heads and institute leaders to translate the Kroc School's compelling story of impact into philanthropic commitment.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned development professional motivated to do meaningful work at the intersection of higher education, philanthropy and global peacebuilding.

Per the University of San Diego, the salary range of $110,000-$125,000 reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
