The Opportunity Overview
Schreiner University is seeking a Vice President of Advancement (VPA), the University’s chief development officer, who oversees all fundraising, governmental, alumni and community relations, as well as the strategic operations of the Texas Center at Schreiner University. Serving as the President’s primary partner in all advancement efforts and often traveling together to engage key constituencies, the VPA provides leadership and supervision to all reporting units, ensuring their activities align with the University’s mission and values and establishing clear performance indicators for annual goals. As a member of the President’s Cabinet and liaison to several Board of Trustees committees, including the Executive Committee, the VPA collaborates closely with faculty and staff to understand institutional priorities and highlight points of pride. Externally, the VPA acts as a public representative of the University, cultivating relationships throughout the Hill Country and beyond, leveraging technology to identify and engage prospects, and partnering with the Advancement team to organize events that celebrate and showcase the University’s friends, alumni, staff and students.
