The Opportunity Overview

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Associate Vice President, Development to take an active role in building an advancement operation attuned to current and emerging philanthropic patterns and a strong, sustainable and mature culture of fundraising. Serving as a member of the senior leadership team, the AVP is a key liaison with deans and senior university leadership to ensure that the Advancement team is an effective, accountable and integrated partner throughout campus. In addition to establishing fundraising priorities and overseeing a team, the AVP will carry a portfolio of major and principal donors.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of fundraising strategy, practices and trends in higher education including campaign management and corporate and foundation relations. They will possess outstanding relationship building skills and progressive supervisory experience.

The Foundation receives, invests and administers funds to benefit the University, while honoring the philanthropic intent of its generous donors.
