The Opportunity Overview

University of Nevada, Reno Foundation is seeking an Associate Vice President for Advancement Services. This transformational leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape the future of a major university's advancement efforts as Associate Vice President for Advancement Services, serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team while driving the institution toward R1 flagship status and AAU membership aspirations.

The role presents an opportunity to lead digital transformation initiatives and build cutting-edge fundraising infrastructure through strategic oversight of growing teams in advancement technology, donor relations, finance and prospect research. The successful candidate will champion data — driven innovation, develop multi —year technology roadmaps and create sustainable systems that deepen alumni and donor engagement while collaborating with university leadership including the President's Office, Provost and deans.

The ideal candidate brings a master’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience — or a bachelor’s degree with at least seven years and a proven ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively with diverse audiences and make informed decisions in complex environments. Functionally, the candidate should demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, fundraising/development, technological innovation, financial management and navigating institutional systems. Experience leading change, managing conflict, and fostering collaboration is essential, as is the ability to set clear goals, implement initiatives and evaluate outcomes.
