Vice President for Institutional Advancement
The University of Central Arkansas
The Opportunity Overview
The University of Central Arkansas is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven leader to serve as its Vice President for Institutional Advancement — an executive role responsible for the full advancement enterprise at a university that has strengthened its enrollment and its market position, and is ready to build on that momentum. This is a chance to lead philanthropic strategy for an institution entering a genuine period of opportunity, with a clear mandate to grow support for UCA's margin of excellence — the initiatives that create opportunity, strengthen programs and provide distinction beyond day-to-day operations.
Reporting directly to the President and serving on the executive staff, the Vice President will lead development, major gifts, alumni relations, constituent engagement, advancement operations and marketing and communications, while also serving as President of the UCA Foundation, Inc. and partnering closely with the UCA Alumni Association and its Board of Directors. This leader will set strategy, carry an active portfolio of principal-level relationships and lead an experienced, high-performing advancement team already built on a strong foundation.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious, entrepreneurial advancement leader with a proven record of major gift success — someone who sees opportunity where others see constraints, leads with discipline in a lean operating environment and is ready to grow into broader institutional leadership. They understand that effective advancement is built on institutional excellence, strong relationships and hard work, and they bring the same rigor to Foundation governance and fiduciary stewardship that they bring to closing a gift.
